Meet Laura Kogut

Laura Kogut began her career in the financial industry in 2008 and quickly found she had a passion for real estate and the home loan process. She helps her borrowers by making a personal connection with them. She recognizes that the homebuying process takes place at a particularly special time in a person’s life, so she wants to make sure she helps as much as she can during that time. Using state-of-the-art products and processes, she tailors a loan to fit her clients’ specific situations.

When she’s not in the office, you can find Laura spending time with her family. Along with her husband and daughter, much of her family also lives in Columbia, so they enjoy spending time together often. She’s also a part of local organizations, like the Metro Rotary Club, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, the Steering Committee for Women’s Network, and the president of the Show-Me Referrals Chapter of Business Networking International (BNI).

Q: What’s your dream home?
A: Probably not a huge mansion. I’d like a small cozy home where I can see my family a lot. Maybe something on the water so we have things to do on the weekends!

Q: What’s the best coffee in Columbia?
A: Lakota Coffee. It has the best coffee and the best atmosphere.

Q: What’s your favorite part of being a lender?
A: The connection I make with my customers. I tend to become pretty close with my clients, and most of them would say I’m a new friend after we’ve gone through the loan process together.
