WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 24, 2025) — Flat Branch Home Loans has been named the No. 4 USDA lender in the nation at the 2025 USDA National Lender of the Year Awards Ceremony. The annual event honors top national lending partners that support rural homeownership and continued access to USDA loan programs.
This year’s ranking marks a shift from Flat Branch’s previous No. 2 position, but the company increased its USDA loan production volume by almost 10% year over year.
“At Flat Branch, we don’t just work in these communities; we live in them,” said CEO Karen Kreutziger Powell during the ceremony. “These are our neighbors, our friends, and our hometowns — and serving them is something we’re truly passionate about.”
As an employee-owned company (ESOP), Flat Branch took the opportunity to recognize the team members who helped make this achievement possible. Top USDA producer Renee Williams and top USDA processor Jessica Christy were invited to attend the ceremony in celebration of their contributions.
