COLUMBIA, Mo, (April 15, 2025) – Flat Branch Home Loans, a leading home mortgage company, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary during its annual Shareholder Rally, held April 10-11 at several landmark venues in downtown Columbia, Missouri.
The two-day event welcomed more than 550 employees from across the country and commemorated key milestones in the company’s two-decade history. Since its founding in 2005, Flat Branch Home Loans has expanded to over 89 offices across 13 states.
The celebration kicked off at the Missouri Theatre with a Shareholder Address delivered by Founder Jim Yankee, CEO Karen Kreutizger Powell and President Jamie Pandolfo.
"If you’re not growing, you’re dying,” a quote famously said by our Founder Jim Yankee-a mantra that reflects the company’s trajectory and recent achievements. In the past year alone, Flat Branch Home Loans was named the No. 2 USDA Lender in the nation and earned the No. 1 USDA Lender in Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. In Missouri, the company also ranked No. 1 for USDA, FHA and overall loan volume.
Known as the Shareholder Rally, this event celebrates Flat Branch Home Loans’ status as an employee-owned company through its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). In 2021, the company was sold back to its employees, a pivotal milestone that marked the beginning of a new era of employee ownership and shared success.
With its 20th anniversary hosted in its founding city, the event served a meaningful homecoming for Flat Branch Home Loans. The company continues to expand into new markets with innovative business ventures, including the recent launch of Flat Branch Bank and The Heist, a new coffee concept located in the heart of downtown Columbia.
