1. Flat Branch is an ESOP company. This means that our employees have stock and 100% ownership of the company we work for!
2. We have our own Flat Branch branded beer and wine, and we recently launched Flat Branch Home Grounds coffee! Employees personally taste-tested and chose our introductory blends.
3. You may have seen our employee-funded foundation in your community or on social media. This organization, called The Giving Branch, exists to help give back to communities that Flat Branch serves. The Giving Branch has raised over $2,000,000 to give right back to our communities!
4. We service a portion of our loans in-house - meaning we're not only equipped to process the loan before closing, but we can also handle the administrative side of a home loan, including receiving payments and managing your account. While many institutions sell off loans, Flat Branch is able to service a portion of our loans to extend impeccable customer service to our borrowers through their entire home loan journey.
5. Flat Branch offers many unique programs, like our Community Champions program. With Community Champions, we honor those who serve their communities, such as EMTs, firefighters, police officers, teachers, military members, and more by offering lender credits and other various incentives with this program.
6. Flat Branch has offices in 9 different states! Additionally, many of our loan officers are licensed in other states, meaning we can process loans in approximately 40 states.
7. Flat Branch was the #1 purchase lender in Missouri for 2021, according to Richey May. The Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) releases this information yearly.
8. Approximately 40% of our employees work remotely. This is an added benefit for many of our employees who do not live within close range of a Flat Branch office.
9. Flat Branch Home Loans got our name from Flat Branch Creek located in Columbia, MO, which Flat Branch Park is also named after. Jim Yankee founded Flat Branch Home Loans in Columbia, MO in 2005.
10. The original Flat Branch logo was a train. After several modifications over the years and a corporate rebranding in 2021, the logo is now the tree we've all come to know and love.
